La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid are reportedly tracking the progress of 22-year-old Spanish forward Bryan Zaragoza at Granada.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Bryan Zaragoza is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The Merengues are scouring the market for offensive reinforcements, with the 22-year-old emerging as a target. Meanwhile, the player’s contract with Granada has a meagre release clause worth €14 million.
Bryan Zaragoza has come leaps and bounds since joining Granada from Conejito Malaga in 2019. A native of Malaga, the Spaniard began his youth career at Tiro Pichon but had to bide his time before rising in prominence. He made his first-team debut as a 20-year-old in November 2021 and has gradually grown in stature.
Now a regular for Granada, the 22-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic start to the 2023/24 season. While his team has struggled, Zaragoza has amassed five goals and one assist in nine appearances thus far. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress with the Nazaries has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of Real Madrid.
Real Madrid will likely enter the market for multiple reinforcements in the 2024 summer transfer window. Joselu was the only addition to the Real Madrid attack this past summer. Considering Los Blancos lost multiple attackers, signing just Joselu was not a sensible decision by the Spanish club.
So, Real Madrid will scour the market in the coming weeks and months for offensive reinforcement. Several attackers, including Luciano Rodriguez, have thus emerged on Real Madrid’s radar over a move next summer. And Bryan Zaragoza is also a viable target for them.
The 22-year-old Spanish forward will not be an expensive acquisition, with his release clause worth only €14 million. But considering we are only in the early days of the 2023/24 season, Real Madrid will not pull the trigger yet. So, Zaragoza needs to maintain his performance levels to remain on the Madrilinean club’s radar.
For now, Bryan Zaragoza has emerged as a viable target for Real Madrid amid the inconsistencies of Rodrygo Goes. It will be interesting to see if the Spanish giants launch the offensive to sign the 22-year-old Spanish forward from Granada in the 2024 summer transfer window.
