Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Manchester United are reportedly closely monitoring the progress of 15-year-old American winger Julian Hall.
According to a report by Evening Standard, Julian Hall has alerted several well-known clubs with his progress at New York Red Bulls. Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Manchester United are among his prospective suitors. But the Major League Soccer outfit will likely demand a premium to part ways with the 15-year-old winger.
Julian Hall has come to the fore since joining New York Red Bulls over three years ago. The US youth international did not take long to turn professional despite his nascent years. And after making his mark in age-group football in the USA, he made his first-team debut last month.
The 15-year-old has primarily played away from the first team but has made one appearance thus far for New York Red Bulls. The MLS giants have tied Hall to a professional contract, giving them the advantage whenever suitors come calling. And the teenage sensation has no shortage of interested clubs, with Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Manchester United pursuing him.
Real Madrid’s history of constantly scouring the market for prodigious young prospects has served them well in the last decade. They have ensured smooth transitions from one generation to the next. And recent reports have linked Real Madrid with promising attackers like Gianluca Prestianni. But Julian Hall is also an option worth considering.
As for Chelsea, the Blues have been active in the market since Todd Boehly and his consortium took over the club. While they have heavily bolstered the first team, they have also focused on signing teenage sensations. Angelo Gabriel, Deivid Washington, and Andrey Santos are some young players to join Chelsea. And they have been monitoring Hall’s progress for much of 2023.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are renowned for having a rich history of providing a clear path to the first-team squad for promising teenagers. Kobbie Mainoo and Hannibal Mejbri have already won over Erik ten Hag. Julian Hall might not be any different if he becomes a top target for Manchester United.
Apart from Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are also tracking the youngster. But New York Red Bulls’ handy bargaining position means they can also choose to keep him in the Red Bull setup by moving him to either Red Bull Salzburg or RB Leipzig. It will be interesting to see what the future has in store for the 15-year-old winger.
