Liverpool and Manchester United are both interested in the services of 22-year-old Atlanta attacking midfielder Thiago Almada.

According to a report by Fichajes, Manchester United and Liverpool are keen on having Thiago Almada in their ranks. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has made quite a name for himself over the past 12 months and there is a lot of interest in his services from across Europe.

Almada came through the ranks of Vélez Sarsfield before joining Major League Soccer club Atlanta in the winter of 2022. He has gone from strength to strength since joining the American club. The 22-year-old’s impressive performances also earned him a spot in Argentina’s World Cup squad last year.

While he was not a part of the original Argentina squad that was meant to feature in the global event in Qatar. The 22-year-old was called up to replace injured Joaquín Correa in the squad and he ended up playing a part in helping the South American nation win the biggest trophy in world football.

In the ongoing MLS season, Almada has featured in 28 matches and he has managed to contribute towards 24 goals. The attacking midfielder has found the back of the net 10 times while he has also bagged 14 assists. He has been in red-hot form and his impressive performances for both club and country have attracted the attention of Liverpool and Manchester United.

Both the English clubs have been monitoring him for a while now. They believe he has the potential to a be great player in the near future. As a result, they are keen on acquiring his services.

Liverpool have already made quite a few changes to their midfield but they are still in search of another attack-minded midfielder and they believe the 22-year-old could be a great fit for the club.

The Red Devils do have a lot of quality in their ranks but they still don’t have the kind of attacking threat Erik ten Hag is looking for. As a result, the Dutch manager wants to add another attacking midfielder to the mix. Almada is someone who will add a lot of creativity and he can be a great source of goals for United.

Both clubs have the approval of their respective managers as they look to further bolster their before attack next season. But, according to the report they could even try to sign him in the winter transfer window.
