A host of Premier League sides are keen on in-form Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber after scouts submitted favourable reports.
According to 90 Min, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are among the teams keen on Quinten Timber next summer. The in-form Feyenoord midfielder has impressed some of the scouts from those clubs who have consistently watched him for a considerable period.
At top teams, systems are changing rapidly and in line with the modern shapes and styles under some of the young managers. Mikel Arteta has taken many lessons from Pep Guardiola, but he has deployed a left-sided midfield eight, which began properly with Granit Xhaka last season.
Jurgen Klopp has deployed a player in that role for many years now, and it has brought success to Liverpool. He needs another player in that position who could provide different options. The Reds did sign Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai in the summer, but they do miss a different profile.
Quinten Timber, the in-form Feyenoord midfielder, now emerged on the radars of both Arsenal and Liverpool. Scouts from those clubs have consistently watched the Dutch midfielder many times and returned with favourable reports.
Manchester United are also monitoring the midfielder, and Erik ten Hag also knows the player all too well during his time in the Netherlands. Quinten Timber is also the twin brother of Arsenal summer signing Jurrien Timber and probably knows the Red Devils boss well.
Signing the Feyenoord midfielder would seem like a brilliant piece of business for the Red Devils, who are in dire need of a central player in their ranks. Timber’s ability to play various positions in those areas and his numbers in the final third suggest he can prove useful in many departments.
Arsenal will certainly look at the Dutch midfielder, and he could suit the role that Granit Xhaka used to have at the club last season. With Kai Havertz, they cannot find that edge, and hence, Timber could become an option. With Jurrien Timber already in the team, things might get easier for the Gunners in this pursuit.
However, the lure of Liverpool or Manchester United cannot be underestimated. There are continental sides also looking at him, but the lure of the Premier League might tempt Timber.
