La Liga giants Sevilla are reportedly interested in signing 20-year-old Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri.

According to a report from Fichajes, La Liga outfit Sevilla are keen on 20-year-old Manchester United prospect Hannibal Mejbri. But a move might not be on the cards, considering his rising stature at Old Trafford.

There have been rumours that Manchester United could look to agree on a new contract with Hannibal Mejbri soon. The 20-year-old is highly rated at Old Trafford, and he has a big future at the Premier League club.

The Red Devils might not be keen on sanctioning his departure anytime soon. So, Sevilla might have to come forward with a lucrative offer to convince them. Mejbri needs regular game time at this stage of his career.

If Manchester United can provide him with those opportunities, the option to move to Sevilla might not appeal to the player either. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks.

Manchester United have a number of quality midfielders at their disposal. So, it will be interesting to see if Erik ten Hag can give the 20-year-old ample game time this season. He needs to play in order to continue his development and he cannot afford to sit on the bench at the top club.

Meanwhile, moving to Sevilla would not be a bad option for the youngster either. The Tunisian international has a contract with Manchester United until the summer of 2024. But the English club have the option to trigger a one-year extension in his contract.

The two parties are set to begin talks regarding an extension soon, and it will be interesting to see whether they can reach an agreement. Apparently, Sevilla are very impressed with his performances this season, and they are ready to do whatever it takes to sign him and bring him to La Liga.

If they can sign him for a reasonable price in the coming months, it could prove to be a superb acquisition for them. The 20-year-old is a player with immense potential and could develop into a key player for the Spanish club in the coming seasons.
