Arsenal and Aston Villa are both keen on acquiring the services of 25-year-old Atlético Madrid full-back Nahuel Molina.

According to a report by Tutto Juve, Arsenal and Aston Villa are ready to sign Nahuel Molina. The 25-year-old has been doing wonders for Atlético Madrid and he is on the radar of quite a few clubs from across Europe.

Molina came through the ranks at Boca Juniors before joining Udinese Calcio in the summer of 2020. He went from strength to strength post the move to the Italian club. During the two years in Italy, the Argentine international put in some impressive performances and managed to attract a lot of attention.

He eventually ended up joining Diego Simeone’s team ahead of last season. In his very first season at the Madrid-based club, he featured in a total of 43 matches and was on the pitch for over 3,700 minutes. He even racked up eight goal contributions.

The 25-year-old even had an impressive FIFA World Cup 2022 with Argentina. Molina played an integral part in helping the South American nation win the global tournament. His impressive performances for both club and country haven’t gone unnoticed.

Quite a few clubs from across Europe are willing to prise him away from Madrid. Arsenal and Aston Villa are two of the clubs that are ready to flex their financial muscles.

Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu have done a great job for Mikel Arteta of late. But, neither of them is attacking in nature. As a result, the Gunners have been on the lookout for a new right-back for a while now. They might not have signed one in the summer but they are still in the market for someone who is attack-minded.

Molina seems to be a perfect fit for the club and they are willing to go hard for his services. Meanwhile, Unai Emery’s Aston Villa have been doing great business in the transfer market of late. They have signed quite a few talented players and are looking to add a lot more in the future. Villa are looking for a quality right back and believe Molina could do wonders for them.

Atlético Madrid are well aware of the interest in his services. They have no intentions of letting him leave as the 25-year-old is an integral part of Simeone’s plans moving ahead. As a result, they are ready to extend his contract until 2029.

While his current deal runs until the summer of 2027, they are looking to secure him for an even longer period of time with a better overall package. But, it won’t be easy as clubs from across Europe will try their best to lure him away.
