Vinicius Junior does not want to leave Real Madrid amid Liverpool links

Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Vinicius Junior, but a move for the Real Madrid forward will unlikely see the light of day.

Vinicius Junior was recently linked with Premier League side Liverpool, who might need to replace Mohamed Salah in 2024. A report from Defensa Central claims that the Brazilian international is not keen on leaving Real Madrid anytime soon despite links with the Premier League club.

Vinicius Junior has established himself as one of the best attackers in Europe in football, and he has been a key player for Real Madrid since joining the club several years ago. The attacker scored 23 goals across all competitions last season while picking up 21 assists along the way as well.

The youngster is a world-class performer who has been an indispensable asset for Carlo Ancelotti. His departure will weaken the Real Madrid attack severely. So, it is highly unlikely that the Spanish giants will look to sanction his exit anytime soon.

The Brazilian is still only 23, and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. He would have been an exceptional acquisition for Liverpool, who have recently shown interest in him, especially if Mohamed Salah leaves the club.

The 31-year-old Egyptian international has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. He will be in the final year of his contract next summer. So, the Reds could look to cash in on him in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Real Madrid will be hoping to compete for major trophies in the coming season, and they cannot afford to lose a player like Vinicius Junior. They need to hold on to their best players in order to compete against the european elite.

Vinicius Junior is more than just a goalscorer for Real Madrid and he has established himself as an elite creator as well. But the Real Madrid talisman does not want to depart from the Santiago Bernabeu anytime soon. And considering his stature in the team, an exit was never on the cards.

The Brazilian has all the attributes to develop into the next footballing superstar, and Real Madrid do not have a tendency of losing players like him. The fact that the Brazilian does not wish to leave the club will also come as a huge boost for the Spanish club.
