Fenerbahce are interested in acquiring the services of 26-year-old Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.

According to a report by Fanatik, Fenerbahce are keen on having Donny van de Beek in their ranks. The Turkish club are looking to sign a new midfielder before the end of their transfer window (15 September). And, they have their eyes on the 26-year-old Manchester United player.

Van de Beek hasn’t had the best of times since joining the Manchester-based club. The 26-year-old came into the limelight because of his heroics while playing for Ajax. His exceptional performances earned him a move to the Red Devils in the summer of 2020.

Since moving to England, the Dutch international’s career has gone downhill. He has featured in a total of 60 matches for the Manchester-based club and has only managed four goal contributions.

Everyone expected his career to be back on track under the leadership of Erik ten Hag. But, that hasn’t happened and the 26-year-old is no longer an important part of their first team. The Red Devils have been ready to negotiate his departure throughout the summer. And, even the player is keen on parting ways.

But, no club has yet managed to strike a deal for his services. United are ready to send him out on loan and Fenerbahce has emerged as a potential destination for the Dutch international.

The Turkish club are looking for a new midfielder. They are looking for someone who is defensive in nature and have a list of potential targets. Despite being an attack-minded midfielder, Van de Beek is being considered by the Fenerbahce manager İsmail Kartal.

The 62-year-old is considering moving Fred into a defensive role in the centre of the park and playing the United midfielder just behind his number nine. The final decision is in the hands of Kartal, if he decides to go ahead with the Dutch international, the Turkish club will back him.

Meanwhile, their priority for the number six role is Paris Saint-Germain’s Danilo Pereira. Fenerbahce are looking to bring him on a season-long loan with a buy option. But, the decision depends on Luis Enrique. If they don’t receive a green signal, they will go hard for the United midfielder.
