Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq failed in their attempt to land 23-year-old Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho in their ranks.
According to a report by 90min, Al-Ettifaq wanted to acquire the services of Jadon Sancho. But, they failed to strike a deal with Manchester United for his services. While the Red Devils are ready to part ways with the 23-year-old, the Saudi Pro League club were not ready to accept the terms of the deal set by the Red Devils.
Jadon Sancho’s future has been up in the air over the past few days, and it still remains uncertain. With the Saudi Pro League transfer window now over, a move to the Middle East is no longer an option. Meanwhile, there is interest from Turkey, but they cannot really match the demands set by the Red Devils.
As a result, the former Borussia Dortmund winger might stay at Manchester until the end of the year, when Bayern Munich might make a move. Sancho’s time at Manchester United has not gone according to plan. He arrived at the club back in the summer of 2021 in a big-money move from Dortmund.
The 23-year-old was expected to take the Premier League by storm. But, he has failed to produce the kind of performances everyone expected of him. In 82 matches for the Red Devils, he has only managed 18 goal contributions.
His performances have resulted in a lack of minutes so far this season. The 23-year-old has gone down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag and things went from bad to worse when he was left out of the squad that squared up against Arsenal.
Ten Hag said that his performances in training were not up to the level, which is why he was left out. But, the 23-year-old took to social media and said that it was not true and that he felt he was being used as a scapegoat.
After the player’s outburst, the Red Devils have started considering parting ways with the England international. He might not get enough game time under ten Hag and getting him off their books will lighten their wage bill. As a result, they were ready to loan him out to Al-Ettifaq.

Even the player was considering moving to the Middle East. But, a move couldn’t take place because Manchester United were looking for a buy obligation in excess of £50 million. And, Al-Ettifaq were not ready to accept those terms. If they were backed by the PIF, things might have been different. But, unfortunately, they could not execute a deadline-day move for the 23-year-old winger.
