Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been given time off by the Egyptian Football Association as he looks to decide his future.

According to a report by The Sun, Mohamed Salah’s future is still uncertain. The 31-year-old Egypt international could still part ways with Liverpool. While the transfer window in Europe’s top leagues is done and dusted, the transfer window in the Middle East is still on.

There has been a lot of interest in Salah’s services from the Middle East. And, with their transfer window open until Thursday there is a possibility of another mega-bid from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad.

They have been interested in the Liverpool superstar for a while now and had submitted multiple bids on transfer deadline day. But, unfortunately, they couldn’t strike a deal with the Merseyside club.

The Saudi Pro League clubs have spent millions to bring European superstars to their clubs. They have been quite successful and they are now looking to bring in another superstar in Salah.

Al-Ittihad submitted an offer worth £150 million for the 21-year-old. But, it was instantly rejected by the Reds who are not looking to part ways with the Egyptian international at this stage. In a matter of hours another bid arrived, the Saudi Pro League club put forward an offer worth £170 million.

While they did fail to land him at the club before the end of the European transfer window, there is still time. Al-Ittihad are now planning to submit a world-record bid of £200 million. They are keen on having him and are flexing their financial muscles to get the job done.

Even the player has been considering his future of late. The 31-year-old has been offered a staggering £2.3 million a week to move to the Middle East. Meanwhile, the report states that the Egypt Football Association has given the 31-year-old time to decide his future.

The Liverpool superstar has been rested by Egypt during the international break. Egypt chief Rui Vitoria had called up the 31-year-old for their Africa Cup of Nations dead rubber qualifier against Ethiopia. But, with his future still uncertain they have decided to head into this fixture without Salah.

The 31-year-old has been allowed to stay in the United Kingdom and be available for any possible talks regarding his future. While he has been rested from their match against Ethiopia, Salah is expected to be back for their friendly against Tunisia on September 12.
