Manchester United signed Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina on deadline day.

The Red Devils have signed him on loan for the remainder of the campaign with a purchase option at the end of the season. A report from Corriere Dello Sport via Sport Witness claims that the Italian outfit are disappointed with the midfielder’s attitude during the transfer saga.

Apparently, the 27-year-old midfielder had separated himself from the group over the past month and he had already collected his personal belongings from Viola Park amid links with the move away from the club.

It seems that Fiorentina were expecting the player to be more professional during the transfer saga but he chose to distance himself from the Italian club and his fellow teammates.

Amrabat has been a key player for club and country over the past year and Fiorentina will certainly miss his presence in the middle of the park.

The 27-year-old will now look to get his career back on track with regular football at Old Trafford. He will want to make his mark in the Premier League and it remains to be seen whether he can hit the ground running.

Amrabat has the physical and technical attributes to thrive in the Premier League and he could be a key player for Erik ten Hag. The Manchester United midfield was in need of physicality, determination and work rate. The Moroccan international will add just that.

He impressed with his combative performances in the recently concluded World Cup and the 27-year-old seems like the ideal partner for Brazilian international Casemiro at the heart of Manchester United’s midfield.

The Red Devils have reportedly paid €10 million to loan the player for the season and they will have to pay an additional €20 million if they want to sign him permanently next summer.

The reported fee could prove to be a major bargain if Amrabat manages to adapt to English football quickly.

Signing a player of his quality for a total of €30 million would be a shrewd investment from Manchester United.

The Red Devils needed to improve their midfield options before the summer transfer window closed and Ten Hag will be delighted to have secured the Moroccan’s signature eventually.
