West Ham United are interested in acquiring the services of 19-year-old Juventus left-winger Samuel Iling-Junior.
According to Graeme Bailey, West Ham United are keen on bolstering their attack before the end of the transfer window. And, they have their eyes on Juventus’s Samuel Iling-Junior. The 19-year-old winger has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 months, and he could be a great addition to the Hammers’ ranks.
West Ham did not get off to a great start in the transfer window. They managed to complete the sale of Declan Rice quite early. But post that, there were no new signings. They failed to add a new player in the first half of the window. But, in the second half of the transfer window, they have managed to do some impressive business.
The Hammers have added the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse to their ranks. David Moyes is quite happy with the transfer window that they have had but there is still room for a few more signings on the deadline day.
West Ham are looking to add a new forward to the mix before the end of the window. They were not at their best going forward last season. As a result, attacking reinforcement will surely help their cause.
The Hammers have their eyes on Samuel Iling-Junior. The 19-year-old winger came through the ranks at Chelsea before making a move to Juventus’s youth academy back in 2020. The England youth international has since gone up the ranks at the club and was promoted to their first team in the winter of 2022.
Since making it to their first team, the teenage sensation has featured in a total of 20 matches and has four goal contributions. Last season, Iling-Junior featured in a total of 12 Serie A matches and was on the pitch for just over 300 minutes.
So far in the 2023/24 season, he has been involved in two matches and has contributed towards a goal despite being on the pitch for under 50 minutes. He is unlikely to have much game time at Juventus and a move elsewhere in the ongoing transfer window will surely help his cause.
The Hammers have enquired about his availability, and it will be interesting to see how the Old Lady responds with the clock ticking.
