Danny Ings, Maxwel Cornet offered to Everton

West Ham United attacking duo Danny Ings and Maxwel Cornet have reportedly been offered to Everton.

According to TEAMtalk, West Ham United have offered the services of Danny Ings and Maxwel Cornet to Premier League rivals Everton on the 2023 summer transfer window deadline day.

The Hammers have rebuilt their side following the record sale of former skipper Declan Rice to Arsenal. The money brought in has allowed them to bring in elite talents such as Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse and most recently Mohammed Kudus.

The trio significantly improve the Hammers as a team and will raise ambitions at the London Stadium in the new season. West Ham are still in the market for a new striker and could part ways with players should a deal materialise.

Those on the chopping block include Danny Ings and Maxwel Cornet. The former has not been at West Ham for long but is clearly not in David Moyes’s plans. Michail Antonio and now Mohammed Kudus should both be ahead of him, allowing for the club to move Ings on.

Cornet, meanwhile, has had his share of injuries and has failed to replicate the form that saw him shine at Burnley. The Hammers are ready to cut their losses on the Ivorian should a suitable offer come in. Both players have now been offered to Everton, the only side to score a goal in this season’s Premier League so far.

The Toffees avoided a massive upset in the League Cup earlier this week against Doncaster Rovers. But it only puts a band aid on massive issues within the squad. Interestingly, Everton have shown interest in both Cornet and Ings.

The lack of cutting edge upfront can be attributed to the injuries sustained by Dominic Calvert-Lewin and the inability to replace Anthony Gordon and Richarlison. New signing Beto scored midweek but is far from the reliable goalscorer that the Merseysiders require.

Ings and Cornet are both excellent players and are arguably an upgrade over who Everton have in their ranks at the moment. A move to Goodison Park will also see them reunite with Sean Dyche who managed them while at Burnley. With the hours running by, time is of the essence to all parties if they are serious about getting the deal done.
