Crystal Palace are pushing to sign Kelechi Iheanacho for £10-15 million, all-inclusive, but Leicester City keeps demanding £18 million.
Florian Plettenberg insists a deal for Kelechi Iheanacho hangs in the balance as Crystal Palace have not met Leicester City’s £18 million asking price. The Eagles want to wrap up a move for the relegated striker for £10-15 million all-inclusive, with the player pushing to leave.
Leicester City could yet see an influx of stars leaving the club in a bid to return to the Premier League. Youri Tielemans left for free, while James Maddison and Harvey Barnes left on reasonable deals. There are chances of Wilfried Ndidi, Kiernan Drewsbury-Hall and Kelechi Iheanacho departing.
Sticking with Iheanacho, the relegated striker has continued to attract the interest of Crystal Palace for some days now. The Eagles want to wrap up a move for the Nigerian, although there are gaps in the valuations set by the two clubs.
Leicester City reportedly want £18 million to sell the striker. Crystal Palace only intends to offer between £10-15 million, all-inclusive. Iheanacho’s contract will expire next summer, which adds to the pressure on the Foxes to get as much money as possible.

Florian Plettenberg insisted the deal could stall due to the differences in valuation, but with Iheanacho pushing, there’s hope for a revival. As things stand, Palace could broker a move close to their valuation and bring the relegated striker back to the Premier League.
Palace have looked at other options in the market, as they also hold an interest in Hugo Ekitike. The Eagles may look to offload Jean-Philippe Mateta if a sizeable offer arrives. Still, the Frenchman put himself on the map with a hattrick against Plymouth Argyle in the Carabao Cup second-round tie.
It may prove little, but having a new striker would give Roy Hodgson a different option. Palace will hope to bring Iheanacho as that frontman. The Nigerian has tremendous experience playing at the top level.
Palace are also closing in on Dean Henderson as their new goalkeeper. The Manchester United star will compete with Sam Johnstone for the No.1 spot. As for their pursuit of Iheanacho, there’s plenty of confidence, mainly because of the striker’s insistence to get the deal done.
