Manchester United have been linked with a move for Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella of late, with personal terms agreed.
Manchester United are hoping to sign Marc Cucurella this summer. And Fabrizio Romano claims that the Red Devils have now agreed personal terms with the 26-year-old defender.
Cucurella has not been able to live up to the expectations since his £62 million move to Stamford Bridge. And after his struggles in the 2022/23 season, Chelsea are prepared to loan him him out this summer.
Manchester United need to add more depth and quality to the left-back department after the injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. Cucurella could prove to be a useful option for them if he manages to regain his form and confidence.
The 25-year-old Spaniard was a key player for Brighton & Hove Albion prior to his move to Chelsea, and he is certainly good enough to play for a top Premier League club. Things are clearly not going according to plan for him at Stamford Bridge, and a move away from the West London club would be ideal for him.

The Spaniard clearly needs a fresh start to regain his peak form. And a move to Manchester United could be ideal at this stage of his career. If he manages to impress at Old Trafford, the Red Devils might decide to sign him permanently at the end of the season.
So far, Manchester United have not been able to secure an agreement with Chelsea but a compromise could be reached soon. Apparently, Manchester United have offered a loan fee in excess of £2 million, but the Blues are yet to accept it.
They will probably look to recoup a higher fee to loan the Spaniard for the remainder of the season. Chelsea already have players like Ben Chilwell and Ian Maatsen. So the departure of Cucurella is unlikely to be a problem for them.
The transfer would make sense for all parties, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few days. Manchester United must look to bring in defensive quality and depth to the side before the transfer window closes if they want to win major trophies this season.
