Crystal Palace are vying to make a move for versatile German midfielder Julian Draxler, who may have no place in this PSG side.

According to RMC Sport, Crystal Palace could angle a move for PSG outcast Julian Draxler. The Parisians no longer need the versatile German midfielder, and he reportedly has set sights on playing in the Premier League and London.

Crystal Palace are in the market looking for some quality signings that would improve their side for the current season. The Eagles have been a bit slow in large parts of this window, but they could accelerate their pursuits and bring at least two players into key positions before the Deadline.

Roy Hodgson feels the team needs a goalkeeper and some sort of an attacking player before the deadline. They are closing in on signing Dean Henderson from Manchester United, although some other keepers are also linked with a move to Selhurst Park.

There are also whispers about a possible approach for Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho, as Palace may look for market opportunities rather than full-blown pursuits. They may have stumbled upon the idea of PSG star Julian Draxler.

The versatile German midfielder emerged on the market after PSG made some stellar signings to improve their squad. He played the previous season on loan at Benfica and has since returned to Paris for pre-season.

In truth, Draxler does not have a place in this PSG side under Luis Enrique, as the club could consider reasonable bids for the versatile German midfielder. He also has a year left and packs tremendous experience at the highest level, meaning some clubs will be looking at a potential move.

Crystal Palace are exploring the idea of bringing the star here and could enquire about PSG’s conditions in the coming period. The Ligue 1 giants will likely accept a reasonable bid, and Palace may have the necessary funds to execute such a transfer.

He will bring some much-needed quality in attacking midfield and some shortness in creativity that seems filling since the departure of Wilfried Zaha. Moreover, he can complement the likes of Michael Olise and, particularly, Eberechi Eze.
