Manchester United have opened negotiations with NK Kustosija to sign 2007-born Croatian wonderkid Dino Klapija.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Manchester United have put themselves in a solid position to sign Dino Klapija. The 2007-born Croatian wunderkind from NK Kustosija has emerged on the radars of many clubs, with the Red Devils among those already negotiating for the 16-year-old talent.
Manchester United fans will want to hear more about a senior signing arriving soon rather than see the team making youth acquisitions. The Red Devils have some pressing issues in their first-team squad, especially after the start of their season, which has already seen them lose to Tottenham.
Erik ten Hag remains searching for a new midfielder, with Sofyan Amrabat still in their sights. However, Manchester United came into the news earlier this week for their latest youth target, Dino Klapija. The 2007-born Croatian wonderkid, considered one of the best prospects of the European nation, could join the Red Devils in the coming days.
Klapija, born in the US, is now part of NK Kustosija’s setup. Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb also wanted him when his family decided to move back to their homeland from the States. They were close before his current club convinced the player to join them.

NK Kustosija are well known for developing young strikers, which may have been why Klapija joined them over Dinamo Zagreb. Meanwhile, his performances for the youth teams have already started to attract the interest of top clubs.
A recent story pointed at solid interest from Manchester United and Chelsea in Klapija. But the Red Devils may have taken the lead. The Premier League heavyweights and RB Leipzig are currently negotiating with NK Kustosija, with a decision expected soon on the striker’s future.
These clubs could even have the option of signing the 2007-born Croatian wonderkid in January, which makes things a bit flexible. Considering the quality of interest from these top clubs, there is a feeling Klapija could move out of NK Kustosija soon and join one of the heavyweights.
