Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having the 21-year-old KAA Gent striker Gift Orban in their ranks.

According to a report by Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in having Gift Orban in their ranks. The 21-year-old Nigerian striker has been in red-hot form of late, and there is a lot of interest in his services. While he has a long-term contract with KAA Gent, the former Staebek striker could still be on the move in the ongoing window. And he is valued at £30-40 million.

Orban joined Gent earlier in the year from Norweigan outfit Stabaek. Since arriving in Belgium, the 21-year-old has featured in a total of 28 matches and he has found the back of the net on 26 occasions along with two assists.

The Nigerian youth international has carried his form into the new season. He has been involved in six matches in the 2023/24 season and has found the back of the net six times. His impressive performances since joining the Belgian outfit have attracted a lot of attention, and there is a real possibility of him leaving the club in the ongoing window.

Gent are well aware of the interest in the 21-year-old’s services. And according to the report, they will only let him leave for a Belgian record fee. It is believed that they would look for a fee in between £30-40 million to part ways with the 21-year-old sensation.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks. The North London club recently parted ways with their greatest-ever player Harry Kane. With the England international no longer at the club, Spurs have a major void to fill.

Kane was a consistent source of goals for Tottenham and without him, they will have to ensure they have enough options to work with. While reports suggest that Ange Postecoglou will use Richarlison as a striker, he still needs to have a top-drawer number nine in his ranks. As a result, they are willing to go all out on Orban, who can help them in the long run.

While Spurs are keen on having the 21-year-old in their ranks, they are not the only ones in the race for his signatures. Even Fulham are interested in the Nigerian youth international as they look to replace Aleksandar Mitrovic.

That seems a lot of money for a player doing exceptionally well in virtually a Sunday pub league. A bit naughty that they’ve doubled his price just because we’ve got Kane money. Probably worth a 20 million pound punt with realistic add ins based on him achieving set targets. Anything else just walk away, there are strikers doing exceptionally well in much higher leagues that would cost no more.
