Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Liverpool and Manchester United keen.
A report from Corriere dello Sport via Football Italia claims that Liverpool and Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat has now been given up to 72 hours to finalise his future. Fiorentina want €30 million to part ways with him.
The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from the Italian club, and Fiorentina are now looking to sort out his future quickly. The 26-year-old had an impressive World Cup campaign, and his performances caught the attention of the top clubs.
Liverpool and Manchester United are thought to be keen on signing the Moroccan international, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. Manchester United will have to bring in a quality partner for Casemiro, and Amrabat could prove to be an upgrade on Fred who left the club earlier this summer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool sanctioned the departures of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson earlier this summer, and they will have to bring in quality replacements. They have already missed out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. Their midfield is in desperate need of reinforcements and they cannot afford to miss out on someone like Amrabat.
The Moroccan international midfielder is valued at €30 million, and he is in the final year of his contract with the Italian club. It is no surprise that Fiorentina are prepared to cash in on him this summer. They will not want to lose the player as a free agent next summer.
Amrabat has the physical and technical attributes to succeed in the Premier League, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for the two English clubs. Both Liverpool and Manchester United need to add more aggression and defensive cover to their midfield.
Amrabat will also add physicality and work rate to the side. The 26-year-old would improve both clubs and it remains to be seen where he ends up. The reported asking price seems like a bargain for an established midfielder like him who could make an immediate impact in the Premier League.

Manchester United will be hoping to challenge for the league title this season and they could certainly use a combative midfielder like him. On the other hand, Liverpool want to get back into the Champions League and they need to plug the gaps in their midfield in order to compete with their top-four rivals.
