Liverpool are reportedly linked with a move for the Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane, who could be Mohamed Salah’s long-term replacement.
According to a report from Football Transfers, Liverpool are lining up a move for German international Leroy as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian international is unlikely to leave the club this summer, but he could look to move on in the near future.
Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia recently. The 31-year-old has been a key player for Liverpool since joining the club and he is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world.
There is unlikely to be a shortage of interest in his services, and Liverpool are preparing for contingencies. Sane has previously shown his quality in the Premier League with Manchester City, and he has the quality to improve Liverpool going forward.
The German international, who won the Premier League title with Manchester City, joined Bayern Munich in a deal worth €60 million, including add-ons. And he will add pace, flair and goals to the Liverpool attack if they can pull off the signing in the near future.
Liverpool have been linked with players like Federico Chiesa in recent weeks as well. But Sane is a proven performer at the highest level, and he could prove to be a more dependable signing. Chiesa, on the other hand, has had his fair share of injury problems, and Liverpool might not want to take a gamble with him.
Sane has Premier League experience, so he should be able to make an immediate impact at Liverpool as well. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can agree on a deal with Bayern Munich. The German champions are already lacking in depth in the attacking unit, and they will not want to sanction the departure of the German international without bringing in quality replacements.
They have recently signed Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur to add some cutting edge in the final third. They will need to bring in a top-class winger as a replacement for Sane before selling him.

As far as Salah is concerned, the Egyptian international is one of the best goalscorers in Premier League history. So Liverpool might need to bring in multiple players to replace his contributions. While Sane will add creativity and flair to the side, the German is nowhere near as prolific as Salah and the Reds will have to replace his goals as well.
