West Ham United agree personal terms with Mohammed Kudus, preparing offer

West Ham United in advanced talks to sign Ibrahim Osman.

West Ham United have agreed on personal terms with Mohammed Kudus before preparing an official £35 million for the Ajax star.

Patrick Berger has claimed that West Ham United have agreed on personal terms with top attacking target Mohammed Kudus. The Hammers are also preparing an official £35 million bid to get an agreement with Ajax, as David Moyes wants the Ghanaian international in the coming days.

West Ham United have stepped up their efforts to bring some well-known talents to the London Stadium. After a substantial period of inactivity in the market, the Hammers have seemingly resolved their well-documented internal issues and went about signing some quality names in the market.

James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez arrived as midfield reinforcements while the Hammers searched for a new striker. Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun and Montpellier star Elye Wahi are serious targets, but only one of those forwards may eventually arrive at the London stadium.

Moyes is also bothered by the potential departure of Lucas Paqueta amid heavy links with Manchester City. West Ham had already deemed Mohammed Kudus an able replacement for the Brazilian, and in any case, they might have gone for the Ghanaian irrespective of their midfielder leaving.

Brighton had an agreement with Ajax for Kudus for a fee close to the £35 million mark. The player did not fancy a move to the Seagulls, with media stories suggesting he wanted a release clause in place, which Roberto De Zerbi’s side possibly refused.

West Ham opened talks with Kudus and his camp after that. And they have taken considerable time before agreeing on personal terms. With an understanding with the 23-year-old attacker, the Hammers prepare to make a £35 million bid to Ajax for the Ghanaian star.

The price seems similar to Ajax’s earlier agreement with Brighton and may not become an issue. Kudus is also keen on joining the Hammers, considering they may have met his demands. The 23-year-old attacker could enhance Moyes’s attacking setup and bring something different in that area.

As the Hammers inch closer to signing the 23-year-old attacker, there is still plenty of work ahead. There is also a significant chance of one of the big clubs joining in the chase for Kudus and hijacking this move from under West Ham. Hence they must act swiftly and get an agreement with Ajax over the line.
