Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing 21-year-old Gent striker Gift Orban, and they have approached the Belgian club for a deal.

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Tottenham have now made their move to sign Gift Orban this summer. And the North Londoners are ready to offer a fee of around €30 million to the sign the young striker.

Orban had an impressive 2022/23 campaign with the Belgian outfit, scoring 20 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions. There is no doubt that he has the ability to develop into a quality striker, and he could be a quality long-term prospect for the North London club.

Orban is likely to be tempted if a Premier League club comes calling this summer, and a move to Tottenham would be a major opportunity for him. The 21-year-old will look to prove himself at the highest level, and a move to Spurs would allow him to showcase his qualities in English football.

Tottenham need to add more quality and depth to their attack, and the 21-year-old could be a useful option. Spurs have been heavily reliant on Harry Kane for goals and they need someone who can share the goalscoring burden with the England international.

In addition to that, Kane has been linked with a move away from the club, and Spurs will have to find quality alternatives if he does end up leaving. Orban might not be ready to replace a world-class player like Kane just yet. But he has the potential to develop into a prolific forward in the near future.

It will be interesting to see if the Belgian outfit are ready to sanction his departure in the coming weeks. A €30 million offer could prove to be a lucrative one if it arrives. Tottenham have already added creativity to their attack with the signing of James Maddison, and signing a goalscorer now would complete their attacking unit for the next season.

The 21-year-old attacker will look to hit the ground running in the Premier League if the transfer goes through. There is every chance that he might not be a regular starter for Tottenham next season. But he will certainly look to force his way into Ange Postecoglou’s first-team plans. The Australian did well to nurture talented young players during his time at Celtic and he could help Orban fulfil his tremendous potential as well.
