Ansu Fati has been linked with a move away from Barcelona in recent months, with Arsenal reportedly among his suitors.
A report from Spanish publication SPORT claims that Ansu Fati has now distanced himself from the transfer market as he does not wish to leave the Spanish club this summer. Arsenal have been keen on securing his services.
Fati struggled for regular game time at Barcelona last season. But he is determined to continue at the Catalan club and establish himself as a key player for them in the upcoming season. The 20-year-old was regarded as one of the best young talents to have come out of La Masia, and he could still be a very important player for Barcelona in the coming seasons.
The attacker is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front three, and he was expected to be the ideal long-term successor to Lionel Messi. However, major injuries have halted his development and the youngster is still looking to get back to his best.
Arsenal have been keen on signing the player. But the Spanish international has decided to snub the approach from the Premier League club. Recent reports have also linked the 20-year-old with Paris Saint-Germain.
Arsenal had an impressive 2022/23 campaign, but they failed to get their title race over the line. They will be hoping to go all the way this time around, and they need to add more quality and depth to their side to compete with Manchester City.
Signing a versatile attacker should prove to be a wise decision for them, and it remains to be seen whether they can sign someone before the window closes. The likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka were overused last season. So Arsenal will have to rotate them next year in order to keep their squad fresh.

They will be playing in the Champions League next season. So they need more options to shuffle the pack from time to time. Fati would have been a quality long-term investment for Arsenal, and they will be disappointed to have missed out on him. It will be interesting to see if the 20-year-old can get back to his best in the upcoming season and establish himself as a key player for Xavi Hernandez.
