Manchester United are expected to put forward a bid for the services of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat in the near future.

According to La Repubblica via Fiorentina.it, Manchester United are keen on having Sofyan Amrabat in their ranks. The Red Devils have been interested in the services of the 26-year-old midfielder for a while now but are yet to place an official bid for his services. However, that is expected to change in the coming days.

Amrabat has been in sensational form over the past 12 months. His performances have helped his club and country leave a mark last season. The 26-year-old guided Morocco to the semi-finals of the World Cup. He helped them become the first African nation to do so.

Amrabat’s consistent performances were a major reason for Fiorentina’s dominance in the Coppa Italia and UEFA Conference League as they managed to reach the finals of both competitions. On the back of his impressive performance, there has been a lot of interest in his services.

The likes of Liverpool and Chelsea have been monitoring for a while now. But, they are way behind Manchester United in the race for his services. Erik ten Hag’s team have been pushing for his signatures for quite a few weeks now.

They already have an agreement on personal terms with the player. The 26-year-old is eager to join but the Red Devils are yet to place an official bid to the Italian club. Fiorentina await an official offer and according to multiple reports, a fee of €25 million plus bonuses would be enough to strike a deal.

While the Italian club wanted to keep him at the club, they could not convince him about a potential renewal. His contract runs out next summer, and they cannot risk losing out on him for free. As a result, they are ready to let him leave. And, La Viola have been looking for potential replacements.

Manchester United are keen on having a cover for Casemiro and a potential partner for the Brazil international in a double pivot role. They believe Amrabat could be a perfect fit for the club and are eager to have him in their ranks. With an agreement on personal terms already in place, the Red Devils are expected to put their foot on the accelerator and put forward an official bid to plan the 26-year-old at the club.
