Takehiro Tomiyasu has been linked with a move to the Serie A club Inter Milan, with Arsenal demanding €35 million to sell him.

According to a report from InterLive, Takehiro Tomiyasu has been offered to Inter Milan. Meanwhile, Arsenal will only part ways with the Japanese utility man if they look to sign him on a permanent deal.

The defender is reportedly valued at €35 million, and Inter Milan need to bring in defensive reinforcements this summer. Tomiyasu could be a quality acquisition for the Serie A outfit and the reported asking price seems reasonable as well.

The 24-year-old defender is versatile enough to operate as a central defender as well as a full-back. He could be an asset for Inter Milan in the coming season. So it is hardly surprising that the Nerazzurri have shown interest in signing him.

The Japanese international is entering his peak years, and he will look to play his best football for Inter Milan. He is unlikely to get regular opportunities at Arsenal next season. So it makes sense for him to move on in search of regular playing time.

Tomiyasu has played in Serie A in the past with Bologna, and he should be able to make an immediate impact at Inter Milan. A return to Italy could help him regain his confidence and form once again. Meanwhile, Arsenal have already signed Jurrien Timber from Ajax, and he will be ahead of Tomiyasu in the pecking order next season.

It makes sense for the 24-year-old Japanese international to move on. Arsenal have been quite active during the summer transfer window, and they have spent a substantial amount of money on new signings.

They need to recoup some money to fund further incomings, and the departure of Tomiyasu could be ideal for them. If Arsenal can secure €35 million for the Japanese utility man, they will be able to bring in a quality midfielder or a versatile forward before the window closes.

Arsenal came close to winning the league title last season, and they will be hoping to go all the way this time. They need a deeper squad to match up to Manchester City and Mikel Arteta should look to add more options before the window closes.
