Manchester United have dropped their interest in the services of 30-year-old Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

According to a report by the Football Insider, Manchester United will not push for the signatures of Harry Kane. The Red Devils have dropped their interest in the 30-year-old after they managed to strike a deal with Atalanta for Rasum Hojlund.

United’s priority heading into this transfer window was to sign a new number nine. And, Harry Kane was at the top of their list. The Red Devils even started making moves to sign him. But, Daniel Levy’s unwillingness to sell and the price tag of around £100 were major hurdles for Erik ten Hag’s team.

They had no intention of getting into a long-drawn negotiation with Levy for the services of Levy. And, decided to push for the 20-year-old Danish international.

While they were in talks with the Italian club for the services of Hojlund, Ten Hag’s team were keeping a close eye on Kane’s situation at Spurs with his contract running out in less than a year.

The Red Devils have now reached an agreement for the services of the Danish international. The deal is worth £72 million. The Italian club will receive £64 million in the fixed fee and another £8 million in add-ons.

With the deal for the 20-year-old now agreed, Manchester United have dropped the idea of pushing for the services of the 30-year-old England international.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are leading the race for Kane’s signatures. They are keen on acquiring his services and according to Ben Jacobs, the German giants hope the player makes his intentions of joining them clear to Tottenham.

Kane’s contract with Spurs ends next summer. While they have offered him a new lucrative deal, the England international doesn’t want to commit his future to the club as of now. And, according to multiple reports, he wants to join Bayern Munich.

The German giants have already had multiple bids rejected by the English club. Despite that, they are ready to go in with the third bid and this comes after people from Bayern met Levy to discuss the future of the 30-year-old. The Bundesliga champions are ready to submit a third bid which will be close to Tottenham’s asking price of £100 million. But, they want the player to make his intentions clear in the coming days.
