Nottingham Forest are reportedly keen on signing 29-year-old American goalkeeper Matt Turner from Arsenal this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are currently in talks with fellow Premier League club Nottingham Forest over a deal for 29-year-old American goalkeeper Matt Turner.
Turner has been a backup option to Aaron Ramsdale, and he is unlikely to feature regularly next season. It makes sense for the 29-year-old to move on and join a club where he will get ample game time. But it remains to be seen whether Nottingham Forest are prepared to provide him with those assurances.
Nottingham Forest have been linked with the Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson as well. Henderson would undoubtedly be a better option compared to Turner, and it remains to be seen who they end up signing eventually.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been linked with players like David Raya in the last few days. It will be interesting to see if the Gunners decide to cash in on Turner and sign a quality replacement.

Raya is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, and he could compete with Ramsdale for the starting spot next season. The increased competition for places will help Arsenal improve as a squad.
As for Turner, the 29-year-old is certainly good enough to play for mid-table clubs. So a move to Nottingham Forest would be the ideal next step in his career. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can finalise an agreement soon.
Nottingham Forest have made an enquiry for him, and they will need to follow it up with a concrete proposal now. Turner is considered as an expendable asset at Arsenal, and the Gunners are likely to sanction his departure if there is a reasonable offer on the table.
The 29-year-old is at the peak of his powers and he needs to play regularly at this stage of his career. If Nottingham Forest can promise him regular game time, it would be the ideal move for him. He will look to establish himself as a regular starter for them in the Premier League and showcase his qualities at the highest level.
