Harry Kane close to sealing Bayern Munich move

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are closing in on the signatures of 30-year-old Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

According to a report by Daily Mail, Bayern Munich are keen on having Harry Kane in their ranks ahead of next season. And the Bundesliga champions are confident about striking a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for his services.

The Bundesliga giants are looking to sign a new number nine ahead of the 2023/24 season, and their priority is to sign the 30-year-old England international. They have been in talks with Spurs for a while now but have not been able to secure an agreement. However, they are confident about getting it done in their next meeting.

The Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe will meet Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to discuss the future of Harry Kane on Monday. According to the report, the German club will put forward a £75 million as they look to land Spurs’ record goal scorer at the club.

While there is a £15 million gap in valuation as Levy is asking for £90 million for his star forward, the Bundesliga giants are still confident about securing his services. The meeting between the two parties is going to be crucial in deciding where the 30-year-old plays next season.

Spurs want £90 million for his services, but Bayern consider the price tag to be a touch on the higher side given that he will be a free agent in a year’s time. The 30-year-old’s contract with the London club runs out in the summer of 2024.

While Tottenham have offered him a new lucrative deal, Kane is not interested in putting pen to paper. The England international wants to have all the options at his disposal and is in no rush to commit his future. He is ready to join Bayern if the two clubs manage to strike a deal in the coming days.

The Bavarian giants did not have the best of seasons last time out. They might have won the Bundesliga but they were not convincing enough in all competitions. Some of it was because they failed to replace Robert Lewandowski, who had left for Barcelona. As a result, their priority is to sign a star forward, and they will do everything in their power to land Kane at the club.
