Manchester United are all set to submit an offer worth €65 million for the services of 20-year-old Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.
According to Rudy Galetti, Manchester United are all set to table an improved offer for the services of Rasmus Hojlund. The 20-year-old striker has been on the radar of the Red Devils for a while now and amidst interest from elsewhere, and they are looking to strike a deal with Atalanta as soon as possible.
Hojlund joined Sturm Graz back in the winter of 2022 and was a part of the Austrian club for just six months. He featured in a total of 21 matches and contributed towards 16 goals. His impressive performances resulted in a move to Atalanta ahead of the 2022/23 season. And, just a year later he could be on the move once again.
In his very first season with the Italian outfit, the 20-year-old forward managed to contribute towards 14 goals in his 34 outings. While he might not be a finished product yet, the Danish international is a huge prospect for the future and multiple clubs are ready to prise him away from Italy.
Manchester United are one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks. The Red Devils’ priority is to sign a new number nine in the ongoing window and they are eager to land the 20-year-old at the club.
Another club who have recently entered the race for the services of the Danish international are Paris Saint-Germain. The French club are looking to reinforce their attack ahead of next season and have already submitted a bid worth €50 million.
United are well aware of interest from PSG and are ready to put forward a much better package than the French club. According to Galetti, they are ready to offer €55 million as a fixed fee plus €10 million as add-ons.
As per reports, they already have an agreement in principle with the player regarding his wages and had even submitted a verbal offer worth €50 million plus €10 million in add-ons.
With PSG making moves, they are now ready to table an improved official offer which is close to Atalanta’s asking price. As a result, it will be interesting to see how the Italian club responds to it. Meanwhile, they have already finalised a deal for the services of El Bilal Touré as a replacement, so Hojlund’s departure is almost certain.
