Crystal Palace are exploring the possibility of signing Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United as they search for new wide attackers.

According to Mike McGrath of The Telegraph, Crysencio Summerville is a target for Crystal Palace in this window. The Eagles could look for more than one wide attacker in this window after losing Wilfried Zaha and the possibility of Michael Olise leaving.

Crysencio Summerville made a small mark last season in the Premier League but lacked consistency with his displays. Billed as one of the promising talents, the wide attacker scored a late winner at Anfield to put him in a spot of recognition.

His lack of consistent output for Leeds United did not make him a sure starter for the Yorkshire side under three different managers last term. He remains a big part of their plans. But like many other first-team stars, the 21-year-old Dutch forward could leave following their relegation to the Championship.

Players often want to stay part of the top division as it hurts their chances of career progression. In Summerville’s case, he could feel the chances of breaking into the Dutch national side might become problematic by playing in the Championship.

For some reason, there is barely been any interest from Premier League sides in the 21-year-old Dutch forward. Crystal Palace are now considering making a move, but only at the right terms. Leeds could ask for a significant fee, although a loan move can also become a possibility.

Crystal Palace are in search of wide forwards in this window and may look for more than one if Michael Olise departs amid heavy interest from top London clubs. Their primary requirement is a replacement for Wilfried Zaha, who has joined Galatasaray on a free transfer.

Summerville could fit their ideas as his decisiveness in the final third could prove crucial. Crystal Palace are also looking to strengthen other areas of their squad as they would also want a new central striker. Eddie Nketiah has been linked again, while fellow Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun also features on their list.

As for Summerville, Palace must act fast and get an agreement over the line. For starters, there is the looming threat of another Premier League side arriving on the case. But overall, the Eagles seem like a good destination for the 21-year-old Dutchman.
