Inter Milan are reportedly interested in signing highly-rated Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun in a loan deal this summer.

Folarin Balogun was on loan at Reims last season, and he scored 22 goals across all competitions. A report from Corriere Dello Sport via Sport Witness claims that Inter Milan are hoping to sign the Arsenal prospect on loan with an obligation to buy him for €35 million.

Balogun is highly rated at Arsenal, and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners are ready to sanction his departure this summer. Recent reports have claimed the North London club might open up to the prospect to cashing in on him.

Inter Milan want to sign the striker permanently for €35 million next summer. But letting him leave the club on a loan-to-buy deal might not be ideal for the Gunners. Arsenal need more depth and quality in their attack, and Balogun could be a useful player for them next year.

Arsenal will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season and will look to put together a formidable squad capable of any major trophies. The Gunners will need a deeper squad to do well across multiple competitions as they should look to hold on to the talented young striker.

However, the 21-year-old is likely to demand regular playing time, and Arsenal might not be able to provide him with that opportunity, especially with Gabriel Jesus already at their disposal. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks.

The opportunity of regular football at Inter Milan will certainly excite the talented young striker, and he could look to move on if Arsenal failed to provide him with gametime assurances. The 21-year-old is a prodigious talent for the big future ahead of him, and he could develop into a top-class goalscorer for Inter Milan.

Arsenal might have to regret their decision if they let him leave this summer. Meanwhile, Inter Milan failed in their attempts to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea permanently, and they are in the market for a goalscorer. It will be interesting to see if they can get a deal done for Folarin Balogun before the summer transfer window closes.
