Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing 26-year-old Florentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, a target for Barcelona.
According to a report by Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness, Manchester United are now ready to make their move to sign Sofyan Amrabat this summer. Meanwhile, journalist Sara Meini claims that Manchester United will look to complete the transfer by the weekend. The 26-year-old, also a target for Barcelona, will cost around €25-30 million.
The 26-year-old Moroccan international has been a key player for club and country, and he has emerged as a top target for Manchester United. The Red Devils need to add more depth and quality to their midfield, and Amrabat would certainly improve them in the middle of the park.
The Fiorentina midfielder could prove to be a major upgrade on players like Fred and Scott McTominay. Both Manchester United midfielders have been linked with a move away from the club. So the Red Devils will have to bring in upgrades if they want to do well next season.
Manchester United returned to the Champions League and secured a domestic trophy last season. They will be hoping to build on that and push for the title this season. They will also look to do well in the European competitions.

There is no doubt that Manchester United need to improve their squad during the summer transfer window. And signing a tough tackling midfielder like Amrabat could prove to be a wise decision. He will provide defensive cover and physicality to Erik ten Hag’s midfield.
Manchester United have recently signed Mason Mount from Chelsea to add goals and creativity to their midfield. If they can add some defensive steel to the side as well, they could have a formidable unit in the middle of the park. And at €25-30 million, Amrabat is an attractive target.
The Moroccan international could form a quality partnership with Mount and Casemiro at the heart of Manchester United’s next season. The 26-year-old is at the peak of his powers and the opportunity to move to Old Trafford will be hard to turn down.

He will want to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, and Barcelona are keen on signing the player as well. However, the Catalan giants are going through financial difficulties and they might not be able to compete with Manchester United in the transfer race, even though the 26-year-old will cost only €25-30 million.
