Giovani Lo Celso has been linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer, with Napoli keen on signing him.

A report from Tuttomercatoweb claims that Napoli are keen on signing Giovani Lo Celso this summer. And the Tottenham midfielder is eager to seal the move as well and is ready to take a paycut to join the Partenopei.

Apparently, he is ready to take a paycut in order to join the Serie A champions in the coming weeks. Napoli are hoping to add more quality to their attack, and the 27-year-old Argentine international has emerged as a viable target.

He is versatile enough to operate in a number of roles and will add greater tactical flexibility to the Napoli site. Lo Celso was on loan at Villarreal last season, and he has been linked with a move to Spain as well. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can agree on a deal with Napoli in the next few days.

The 27-year-old is clearly unwanted at Tottenham, and it makes sense for both parties to go separate ways. Spurs paid €32 million to sign the Argentine midfielder, but they cannot demand a similar sum this summer. Meanwhile, Napoli will probably hope to sign him for a knockdown price, given the fact that he is unwanted at the Premier League club.

Tottenham need to strengthen their squad as well, and they will look to recoup as much as possible for the 27-year-old midfielder. Daniel Levy is a shrewd negotiator, and he will not want to let the player leave for cheap.

As for Lo Celso, he will look to get his career back on track with regular football next season. So if Napoli can provide with the game time assurances, it could be the ideal move for him. The 27-year-old has the technical attributes to thrive in Serie A, and he could be a key player for Napoli next season.

The midfielder will want to sort out his permanent future and focus on his football now. The Argentine international is still very much at the peak of his career and will look to get back to his best next season. Regular football will be the key to regaining his confidence and sharpness.

Really rate Le Celso and would love for him stay at Tottenham and give Maddison a bit of competition. More deadwood needs to be moved on, which would generate a bit more cash to invest in quality defenders. Let Kane go, he obviously doesn’t want to stay, so get the best price for him and let him go. Sanchez, Roden, Perisic, Regulien, Dier and possibly Richalson should all pack their bags. DON’T sign Lenglet unless it’s a free and any money raised from these sales should be re invested in at least 2 centre backs. We have for weeks been linked with up to 7 centre backs, if Lenglet isn’t signed, get 3 in, it’s an area that we have been weak in four the past 3 seasons. COYS
