Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool icon Divock Origi from AC Milan this summer.

According to a report from Sportmediaset, as relayed by Milan Press, Crystal Palace are eyeing up a move for former Liverpool striker Divock Origi. The struggling AC Milan attacker is also a target for other clubs, including Leeds United.

The 28-year-old had a mixed spell at Liverpool, and he struggled for regular game time at Anfield. However, he managed to deliver in some big moments for the Reds and could prove to be a useful acquisition for the Eagles.

Crystal Palace need to add more quality and depth to their attack this summer, especially after the departure of Wilfried Zaha. The 28-year-old striker will certainly add physicality, flair and pace to the side.

The Belgian striker joined AC Milan last summer so that he could play regular first-team football. However, things have not gone according to plan for him. The Liverpool icon has scored just twice in 36 appearances across all competitions. So it will not be surprising if AC Milan decide to sell him this summer.

It remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace can convince the striker to return to the Premier League this summer. They will be hoping to snap him up for a reasonable price. The Belgian knows the Premier League well and should be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact.

If Crystal Palace can provide him with first-team assurances, the striker could be tempted to join the club this summer. The report further states that Leeds United are also keen on signing the Belgian international striker as well.

The Whites were relegated to the Championship at the end of last season, and it is highly unlikely that the 28-year-old will consider a move to the second division of English football. Origi will want to compete at the highest level and a move to the top flight would be ideal for him.

Leeds could certainly use a quality goal scorer as well, and the 28-year-old could be an exceptional option for them in the Championship. But it seems highly unlikely that they will be able to convince him. Meanwhile, Palace also have other attackers, including Che Adams, on their radar.
