Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

A report from RMC Sport claims that Paris Saint-Germain are keen on signing Hugo Lloris, and the goalkeeper is open to a summer move. The two clubs are currently in contact regarding a move for the World Cup winner, and it will be interesting to see if they can secure an agreement.

Lloris is in the final year of his contract with Tottenham, and he will be a free agent next summer. It makes sense for the North London club to sell him this summer as opposed to losing him on a free transfer. Meanwhile, the World Cup winner is ready to leave Tottenham to embark on a new adventure.

Spurs have already signed a quality replacement for him in the form of Guglielmo Vicario. Lloris was quite error-prone last season, and he ended up costing his side valuable points. Tottenham needed to bring in a better goalkeeper this summer, and it will be interesting to see if they can offload the Frenchman.

The 36-year-old could still be a useful player for most clubs. But Tottenham need better options if they want to return to the Champions League. Lloris has been a top-class servant for the club over the years, and Spurs will certainly miss his mentality, professionalism and leadership qualities.

Paris Saint-Germain are looking to add more quality and depth to the squad, and Lloris would be a useful option for them. The 36-year-old goalkeeper would not have to start regularly for the French outfit, and he could assume leadership role at the club.

The Tottenham goalkeeper has already retired from the French national team after the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and he will look to enjoy the final years of his playing career. A return to his homeland could be ideal for the experienced goalkeeper.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can agree on a reasonable price with PSG for the experienced star. Tottenham need to improve their squad this summer, and they could certainly use the proceeds from the sale.

The North London giants had a disappointing 2022/23 campaign, as they missed out on UEFA Champions League qualification. They will hope that the summer signings can help propel them back into the top four next season.
