Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made enquiries to Juventus over the situation of Dusan Vlahovic as they prepare for Harry Kane’s potential departure this summer.

According to Italian transfer expert Rudy Galetti, Tottenham have made their first move towards Dusan Vlahovic transfer, having approached Juventus to understand the 23-year-old Serbian hitman’s situation. Spurs are actively searching for a potential replacement for star striker Harry Kane, with Vlahovic, valued at €80 million, viewed as their main target.

Ange Postecoglou has welcomed the additions of three confirmed signings so far, with Spurs landing Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison, and Manor Solomon. The trio comes as an exciting proposition for supporters, especially former Leicester City star Maddison, who is exactly what they need. And if things go to plan, he will fire them back to the top four.

The Lilywhites looked to be chugging along nicely with their transfer business until the bombshells dropped a couple of weeks ago that they could lose Harry Kane to long-term admirers Bayern Munich, who have already seen a bid turned down, and his contract in north London has entered the final 12 months.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is unsurprisingly said to be desperate to retain Kane at the club. But Tottenham have seemingly drawn up a contingency plan regardless, with former Juventus striker Vlahovic identified as their top target.

Vlahovic has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League for a couple of years now. Indeed, he joined Juve in January 2022 following a prolific spell with Fiorentina after snubbing a switch to the Premier League to join Arsenal.

The 23-year-old has endured mixed fortunes at the Allianz Stadium, hitting some good patches of form. He scored 14 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions for the Italian club last term and is considered to be among the elite strikers in Europe.

However, the player is now believed to be weighing up his options after Juventus finished seventh in Serie A last season and failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League. Likewise, the Bianconeri view Vlahovic as one of their most saleable assets as they look to lighten up their wage bill after they were docked points in Serie A last season due to breaches of financial rules.

If they were to lose Kane, they would definitely need a striker of Vlahovic’s quality to come in and replace their star striker. The Italian giants will reportedly demand a fee of around €80 million for their prized asset. It is fair to say that finances will not be a problem for Tottenham, especially if Kane is sold this summer.

However, there may be a few obstacles in their pursuit, as Paris Saint-Germain, also seems very keen on the Juventus striker, which could cause big issues for Spurs who may struggle to convince the player to move to a side that failed to qualify for Europe altogether instead of the reigning French champions in PSG.
