Newcastle United are ready to break the bank and offer €90 million for the services of 22-year-old Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
According to Il Mattino via Calciomercato, Newcastle United are keen on having Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in their ranks ahead of next season. The 22-year-old was on fire last season and there is a lot of interest in his services from across Europe.
The Magpies are well aware of the interest. And, they are ready to beat the competition by offering €90 million for the services of the Georgian international.
Kvaratskhelia arrived in Italy a year back for just €10 million when Napoli acquired his services of Dinamo Batumi. He has since gone from strength to strength. The 22-year-old was exceptional from through the 2022-23 season and ended up winning the Serie A Player of the Season award.
His exceptional performances were one of the reasons for the Italian clubs league triumph. The Georgian international featured in a total of 43 matches in all competitions and was on the pitch for over 3,200 minutes.
He managed a total of 31 goal contributions. The 22-year-old found the back of the net on 14 occasions and also racked up 17 assists.
While there is a lot of interest in Kvaratskhelia’s services, the Magpies are ready to do it all in order to land him at the club. Newcastle had an exceptional season last time out and are all set to feature in the Champions League next season.
They want to strengthen their squad in order to be competitive in both the league and the UCL. Eddie Howe is looking to bolster his attack and has his eyes set on the Napoli star. He believes adding the 22-year-old can help them take the next.
As a result, the English club are preparing a big money move for the Georgian international. They are ready to pay €90 million for his services. But, with four years still left in Kvaratskhelia’s contract, the Italian giants are the ones who have the upper hand in the negotiations. They could either reject the bid straightaway or entertain a bidding war for his services given the amount of interest in him.
