Arsenal remain interested in the services of the 21-year-old Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.

According to Football.London, Arsenal could still push for the services of Moises Caicedo. The 21-year-old Brighton midfielder was on their radar back in January and they still remain interested in him.

The Gunners will soon announce the signing of Declan Rice from West Ham United for a club-record fee of £105 million plus bonuses. As soon as they secured the services of the Hammers midfielder, the general notion was that they won’t push for Caicedo.

However, that is all set to change with Thomas Partey likely to move away from the club. If the former Atletico Madrid midfielder leaves, they could push for the 21-year-old.

The 30-year-old is expected to have limited game time next season with Rice likely to feature as a regular from the start. As a result, he is open to a move away from the club.

There is a lot of interest in his services from clubs across Europe as well as the Middle East. Saudi Arabian clubs are keen on having the Ghanaian international in their ranks. A move to Saudi will guarantee him a regular spot in the XI and his wages will increase significantly.

However, the Gunners will only sell him for a significant fee. They won’t let him leave on the cheap. Mikel Arteta’s team will look to make a fee close to what they had paid (£45 million) to acquire him from the Madrid-based club back in the day.

If they manage to offload a few players for the right price, Arteta’s team could push for the 21-year-old. They wanted to sign him back in January but their bid of around £70 million was rejected. And, at this point in time, the Seagulls want nothing less than £100 million.

Their valuation of Caicedo has a lot to do with the big money move of Rice. Meanwhile, Chelsea are keen on having the 21-year-old in their ranks but they are not ready to meet their asking price. The Blues are looking to sign a midfielder who can fill the void left by N’Golo Kante and believe the Ecuadorian international could be their man.

But, they are not alone in their pursuit of the Seagulls’ midfielder, Arsenal are still in contention but it will depend on the outgoings.
