Manchester United are all set to hold decisive talks with Inter Milan as they look to complete the signing of Andre Onana.

According to a report by Calciomercato, Manchester United are keen on having Andre Onana in their ranks. The 27-year-old shot-stopper has been on their radar for a while now, and they are looking to complete his signing as soon as possible.

The Red Devils have been in talks with Inter Milan over the past few weeks, and it seems both parties could reach an agreement soon. Sports director Piero Ausilio has travelled to England as the Italian club tries to close out two within the next few days.

Inter are trying to close out the sale of Onana and then land the 30-year-old Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku in their ranks. However, the first focus is completing the 27-year-old’s sale to Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag was keen on a new goalkeeper ever since the season ended. He wanted to add a world-class shot-stopper who could push David de Gea for a spot in the XI. While he was keen on a new goalkeeper, it wasn’t a priority.

But, after the club failed to extend the Spanish international’s contract and he left as a free agent, signing a new number one became the need of the hour. And, post that they have been pushing hard to land the 27-year-old Inter goalkeeper in their ranks.

Ten Hag has worked with Onana in the past. They have had a lot of success together at Ajax back in the day. And, the Dutch manager believes the Inter shot-stopper could help them push for major titles.

Meanwhile, Inter are ready to sell the 27-year-old as they have some financial struggles ongoing and need to raise funds to bolster their squad. They had signed him as a free agent last year and after a sensation season, Inter are looking to make €60 million by offloading him.

Manchester United have already agreed personal terms with the player. Onana is set to sign a five-year deal with a wage of over €6 million a year. Over the weekend, Ten Hag’s team presented a new €55 million offer for the 27-year-old.

With only €5 million being the difference between the two parties, an agreement is expected to be reached soon. The Red Devils are expected to make the final bid today and with Piero Ausilio in England, a deal in expected to be closed in the coming days.
