Joao Felix keen on PSG move amid Premier League interest

Joao Felix has been linked with a move away from Atletico Madrid this summer, with Manchester United, Newcastle, and Tottenham interested.

Joao Felix has been linked with Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur. But a report from 90min claims that he is keen on a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer when he leaves Atletico Madrid. Los Rojiblancos want €90 million to part ways with the 23-year-old.

Apparently, clubs like Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Tottenham are all keen on signing the Portuguese international this summer. All three clubs could use a quality attacker and Felix would have been a long-term investment.

The 23-year-old was on loan at Chelsea during the second half of last season, and he was quite underwhelming for them. He scored just four goals across all competitions. The Blues decided not to sign him permanently, and he has now returned to his parent club.

It is evident that Felix does not have a future at Atletico Madrid. So it makes sense for him to move on permanently. The Spanish giants will look to recoup a significant amount of money for him, and the player is reportedly rated at €90 million.

Paris Saint-Germain need to improve their attacking options after the departure of Lionel Messi. Kylian Mbappe and Neymar have been linked with moves away from the club this summer as well.

There is no doubt that they have the financial resources to pull off the transfer for €90 million. So it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds. The 23-year-old attacker is still young enough to get his career back on track and fulfil his world-class potential. He will be hoping for regular game time at the French club. But it remains to be seen whether he can make an immediate impact in Paris.

Felix was regarded as a world-class talent when he joined Atletico Madrid from Benfica. But he has not been able to replicate his form in Spanish football or in the Premier League. There is no doubt that the 23-year-old is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him, and he could be an important player for Paris Saint-Germain if he manages to regain his confidence and sharpness.

He is versatile enough to operate as the centre forward as well as a winger. He could be an asset for the French club in the coming seasons. PSG certainly have the resources to pay the €90 million valuation of the player and it remains to be seen whether they are ready to break the bank for the Portuguese international.

As for Manchester United, Newcastle, and Tottenham, it will be interesting to see who they identify as alternatives to Joao Felix, who will likely join PSG in the ongoing transfer window.
