Manchester United are open to loaning out Amad Diallo this summer amid interest from several English clubs.

According to Football Insider, Premier League giants Manchester United are contemplating the idea of loaning out Amad Diallo in the ongoing summer transfer window. The Red Devils signed the youngster for £37 million from Atalanta.

The Red Devils are set for a key season having secured UEFA Champions League football in Erik ten Hag’s first season at Old Trafford. While Diallo remains a top prospect, it is debatable if he is ready to play a key role in the first XI.

The 20-year-old joined the Red Devils from Atalanta in 2021 in a £37 million deal, scoring once and assisting another across nine games in all competitions. His loan spell at Rangers was a mixed bag, but the time spent at Sunderland last season certainly saw him rise to the occasion.

While he failed to drag the Black Cats through the Championship playoffs, his time at the Stadium of Light left a positive impression. Sunderland and Southampton are both keen to take the Ivory Coast international on loan as they bid to return to the Premier League.

Diallo is also attracting interest from top-flight newcomers Burnley and Sheffield United. Both teams will take part in the Premier League and will be in a position to offer Diallo the chance to test himself against top-quality opposition. This, if anything, should give Manchester United an idea of whether the youngster can make the cut.

As things stand, ten Hag will make the decision on whether Diallo will have a big role to play in the 2023/24 season. Chances of the Dutchman throwing in the youngster at the far end sounds fanciful and a temporary move away from Old Trafford appears to be the best solution for all parties.

The young attacker has all the weapons in his arsenal to develop into a top-class player in the years to come. Just 20, he has the best years ahead of him and can make use of the next season or two to fine-tune his abilities.

With Jadon Sancho failing to live up to expectations and Antony so far proving to be a bust, the Red Devils might need new wingers in the coming years. Should Diallo prove to be the solution to their woes, it will come as a massive boost for Ten Hag and Co.
