Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are still pushing for the services of Vitor Roque who has a pre-agreement with Barcelona.

According to Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are still hopeful of acquiring the services of Vitor Roque. The 18-year-old Athletico Paranaense striker has been in red-hot form over the 12 months and has been the talk of the town of late given the amount of interest in his services.

The Brazilian teenage sensation scored 15 goals and had six assists in the 2022/23 season. Despite being just 18, he was the mainstay of his team. While his contract with the Brazilian club runs until the summer of 2027, Roque is expected to join a European giant in the ongoing transfer window.

Barcelona have been leading the race for his signatures right from the start and they have a pre-agreement in place. The Spanish giants agreed to a deal worth €30 million plus €20 million in bonuses with the Brazilian side last month.

However, they haven’t sent documents to complete the transfer yet. And, Athletico Paranaense are not happy with the situation, they want it to be sorted as soon as possible. According to the report, the Brazilian club have given the Catalan giants an ultimatum to close the deal in the next 24 hours or they will start listening to offers from elsewhere.

This is where the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur come in. Both clubs are interested in the 18-year-old and are ready to go the distance to acquire his services.

The Red Devils have been looking for a new number nine throughout the summer and Roque could be a vital addition to their ranks. Meanwhile, Spurs want to have cover for star striker Harry Kane. They are looking for someone who can eventually take over from the England international and the 18-year-old fits the bill.

It is claimed that both the clubs haven’t stopped calling for him and they are ready to travel to complete his signing. They are ready to offer a better financial package to both the club as well as the player. Meanwhile, there is a possibility that both United and Spurs are being used to put pressure on the Catalan giants.

Levy is too tight to spend on this kid. Although he would make a fantastic foil and replacement for Harry Kane when he leaves.
