Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing 23-year-old Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.
Aurelien Tchouameni has been linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu. And a report from Defensa Central claims that Arsenal have now tabled a €90 million bid for the Real Madrid midfielder.
Tchouameni joined Real Madrid in an €80 million deal at the start of the season after an impressive campaign with Monaco. But the Frenchman has not been able to live up to the expectations so far. Although he has impressed from time to time, the lack of consistency has been concerning.
It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid are prepared to cash in on the player this summer amid interest from Arsenal. The Spanish giants might need to bring in multiple reinforcements this summer, especially with players like Karim Benzema leaving the club.
They have already spent a massive chunk of money on Jude Bellingham, and they will need to find a top-class striker as well. Real Madrid already have a number of quality midfielders at their disposal. So it would not be a surprise if they decided to sell the French international this summer.
Arsenal need to sign a quality defensive midfielder, especially with Thomas Partey expected to leave the club. Granit Xhaka has been linked with an exit this summer as well. Arsenal are thought to be closing in on a deal to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United.
But they should aim to bring in another quality midfielder this summer. Rice and Tchouameni could sort out the Arsenal midfield for the foreseeable future. There is no doubt that the 23-year-old French international is a world-class talent, and Mikel Arteta could be the ideal manager to bring out the best in him.
The Arsenal manager has helped players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli develop into key players for Arsenal, and he could be the ideal manager to unlock the French international’s potential as well.

Tchouameni will be desperate to get back to his best, and a fresh start in the Premier League could be ideal for him. A move away from Real Madrid could help him regain his form and confidence away from the limelight.
