Tottenham Hotspur are interested in acquiring the services of 26-year-old West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen.
According to The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having Jarrod Bowen in their ranks ahead of next season. While Spurs’ priority is to strengthen their defence, they are also on the look for attacking reinforcement and have their eyes on the 26-year-old.
Bowen joined the Hammers back in the winter of 2020. The England international has gone from strength to strength since making the move to West Ham. He has managed to establish himself as one of the most important players in that setup.
The 26-year-old was integral to their success in the recently concluded season as the Hammers managed to win the UEFA Europa Conference League. Bowen had a total of seven goal contributions in his 11 matches as West Ham lifted the European title.
Overall, he had 21 goal contributions in his 54 matches. The England international managed to find the back of the net on 13 occasions and also had eight assists to his name. Meanwhile, his impressive performances over the past few seasons have attracted a lot of attention.
Tottenham are the latest club to be interested in his services. The London club are keen on having him in their ranks. While their priority is to sort out the goalkeeping situation and then look for a few defenders, Spurs also want to sign someone who can bolster their attack.
They are looking to sign a versatile forward, someone who can play out wide as well as in a central role. And, Bowen seems to perfectly fit the bill. While their new manager Ange Postecoglou already has some of the best attackers at his disposal, he would surely love to have the England international in his ranks.
While Spurs are keen on signing Bowen, the Hammers might not be ready to part ways with him in the ongoing summer. West Ham United are all set to lose out on Declan Rice and cannot afford to lose Bowen in the same summer. They will try their best to hold onto the 26-year-old.
