West Ham United are keen on acquiring the services of 21-year-old Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun ahead of next season.

According to Football Transfers, West Ham United want to sign Folarin Balogun. The Hammers are keen on strengthening their attack ahead of next season and have identified the American international as a priority transfer target.

The 21-year-old had an impressive 2022/23 season and his performances have attracted a lot of attention. While Mikel Arteta is yet to make a final call on his future, a lot of clubs are ready to push for his services.

Balogun has come through the ranks at Arsenal. He was promoted to their first team ahead of last season. But, Arteta was aware that he might not be able to provide the 21-year-old with enough game time. As a result, he decided to send the American international out on loan to Ligue 1 club Stade Reims.

Balogun has managed to make quite a name for himself while playing in the French top flight. The 21-year-old found the back of the net on 22 occasions and also had three assists to his name in his 39 outings. His performances caught the eyes of quite a few clubs and they have been monitoring his situation for a while now.

Meanwhile, West Ham United consider him a priority transfer target. They were not at their best in front of goal in the recently-concluded season, and David Moyes is keen on sorting it out by signing a new forward. With Gianluca Scamacca likely to part ways with the club, pushing for a new striker is a must. And, Moyes wants to have Balogun in his ranks next season.

He wants the 21-year-old to be a part of the Declan Rice deal. Arsenal have been pushing to sign the Hammers skipper for a while. And with the Gunners desperate to land the England international, Moyes believes they could offer the American international in a player plus cash deal.

However, Arteta is not keen on including the 21-year-old in the Declan Rice deal. He wants Balogun to be a part of their pre-season. And based on his performance, the Spanish manager wants to take a call. But, if the player is keen on a move away from the club and pushes for it, he might not be a part of the pre-season.
