Fred has been linked with a summer move away from Manchester United, with Fulham keen on signing him.

A report from Daily Telegraph claims that Fulham are keen on signing Fred. And Manchester United will sanction the departure of the Brazilian international for a fee of around £20 million.

Fred has been a useful player for Manchester United. But he is not good enough to start for a club hoping to win the Premier League title and the Champions League. Manchester United must aim for better players, and they need to get rid of the fringe players this summer.

The departure of Fred will allow them to invest the proceeds from his sale into a new player. Manchester United have been linked with players like Nicolo Barella in recent weeks.

Fred is certainly good enough to play in the Premier League, and he could be a key player for Fulham next season. The Brazilian international will add drive, physicality and defensive cover to the Fulham midfield.

The West London club managed to impress following their promotion last season, and they will be looking to build on it and finish higher up the table next year. The opportunity to play for Fulham could be an exciting option for Fred who will look to prove himself at the highest level.

The Brazilian is already well-settled in the Premier League and could make an immediate impact at Fulham next season. Meanwhile, the London club certainly have the financial resources to pay the £20 million asking price for the Brazilian midfielder. But the Cottagers are not ready to meet Manchester United’s asking price.

Signing an established Premier League midfielder at the peak of his powers for £20 million seems like a reasonable price to pay, and Fred has the ability to justify the outlay next season. Meanwhile, Manchester United managed to win the English League Cup this past season and they have secured Champions League qualification as well.

They are in a better position to attract top players this summer and they have the financial resources to pay big money as well. It remains to be seen whether they can attract players like Barella in the coming weeks.
