PSG will look to secure the services of Rodrygo Goes, valued at €100 million, in the deal to sell Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, a Real Madrid attacker is the subject of interest from Paris Saint-Germain. The Ligue 1 champions want to land Rodrygo Goes in the deal to sell Kylian Mbappe. And with Los Blancos valuing the youngster at €100 million, the cost of the entire operation will be €200 million.
Rodrygo Goes has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Real Madrid from Santos in July 2019. While he did not take much time to establish a foothold at the Santiago Bernabeu, he is not the undisputed first-choice striker four years into his Real Madrid stint. But the 22-year-old has still remained prolific, especially this past season.
The Brazilian international amassed an excellent tally of 19 goals and 11 assists in 57 outings. Considering Rodrygo was not the first-choice attacker, his returns are impressive. But the player wants to become the first-choice right-winger for Real Madrid next season. And the situation has captured the attention of Paris Saint-Germain.
Real Madrid and PSG do not share a cordial relationship after Los Blancos constantly pursued Kylian Mbappe. But Les Parisiens are in a spot of bother over Mbappe’s long-term future, as he will not sign a new contract with them. And with the Frenchman’s contract running out next year, they are ready to part ways with him.
While PSG would prefer to sell the 24-year-old to any club other than Real Madrid, they have warmed up to the prospect of dealing with Los Blancos. But the Ligue 1 champions want Rodrygo in the Mbappe deal. In addition, they will demand around €100 million to seal the agreement with Real Madrid.
The Merengues value the Brazilian international at around €100 million. So the cost of the Mbappe operation will come out to €200 million, which the Spanish giants are ready to pay as a standalone fee. And with Rodrygo being a part of Real Madrid’s core, he will unlikely come anywhere close to joining PSG.

It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid can seal the deal for Mbappe without including Rodrygo in the operation. Meanwhile, the French international has suggested he does not want to join Real Madrid this summer and intends to honour his PSG contract. So a summer deal will take some time to materialise, if at all.
