Furthermore, he is unlikely to start for Bayern Munich next season, especially with Manual Neuer returning from his injury. A player of his quality needs to play every week, and an exit from the Bundesliga club would be ideal for him.
He could be available for a reasonable price given his stature at Bayern Munich. So Manchester United should do everything in their power to secure his services. The 34-year-old could prove to be a major bargain for the Red Devils, and he could sort out their goal-keeping department for a couple of seasons at the very least.
