Harry Kane has been linked with a summer move away from Tottenham Hotspur, with Real Madrid keen on signing him.

Harry Kane will enter the final year of his contract in July, and he is yet to sign an extension. He could look to leave in the coming weeks, and a report from Spanish publication MARCA claims that Real Madrid have now initiated moves to sign the Tottenham striker.

It is no secret that Real Madrid will need to sign a quality striker after the departure of Karim Benzema. The French striker has decided to leave the Spanish club and move to Saudi Arabia. Kane would be a quality replacement. But it remains to be seen whether Real Madrid can get the deal done.

The Spanish giants are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and they have the finances to convince Tottenham. Meanwhile, Kane is yet to win a single trophy in his club career. So the opportunity to join a club like Real Madrid could prove to be hard to turn down.

The England international is one of the best strikers of his generation, and he is a proven goalscorer. Although his overall play might not be as good as Benzema, he remains a top-class playmaker and a reliable goalscorer.

Kane garnered 32 goals to his name across all competitions this season, and he has the quality to make an immediate impact in the Spanish league. At 29, he is at the peak of his powers and will look to make his mark in La Liga next season.

Real Madrid have a proven track record of challenging for major trophies every season, and they will look to compete for the league title and the Champions League next year. It has been a disappointing season for a club of their standards, and they have missed out on the league title and the Champions League this season.

Carlo Ancelotti will be expected to turn things around, and signings like Kane will certainly help them bounce back. Tottenham have been adamant that they want to hold on to their star striker. But they are under pressure to cash in on him. They will not want to lose him as a free agent next year, and they will be powerless to stop him from leaving if he does not sign an extension with them.

Until Kane decides to move any interest from anyone is just paper speculation
He’s already said he’d be reluctant to take his family abroad .
