Chelsea are all set to formalise and announce the signing of 25-year-old RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea will soon make the signing of Christopher Nkunku official. The 25-year-old will soon be seen in the blues of Chelsea. Nkunku has already penned down a deal with the Blues, and it is a matter of days before they unveil him as their new player.
Nkunku came through the ranks at Paris Saint-Germain before joining RB Leipzig in the summer of 2019. The 25-year-old forward went from strength to strength since joining the German club. As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the French international has been involved in 32 goals in his 36 outings.
He has found the back of the net on 23 occasions and also has nine assists to his name. Nkunku’s heroics on the pitch over the past few seasons have made him the talk of the town. He was on the radar of quite a few clubs. But Chelsea were the fastest to act and they are all set to announce his signing soon.

After the arrival of their new owner, Todd Boehly, Chelsea went all guns blazing and spent a fortune on signings. They target young world-class players who can help them achieve success in the long run. And, Nkunku was on their radar.
The Blues managed to agree on personal terms with the player without much difficulty and medicals were conducted in September last year. Post that both clubs negotiated a price for the 25-year-old French forward.
Both parties reached a common ground by December and contracts were signed. The Blues managed to acquire the services of their priority target who would join them ahead of next season.
With the season done and dusted, the Blues are now all set to welcome the French international. They will sort out a few final details and then announce the 25-year-old as their new star. According to Romano, Nkunku should be unveiled as a Chelsea player very soon after all work regarding his medical and the contract were already done back in the day.
